Spectra in this compilation are obtained with a do-it-yourself Czerny-Turner spectrograph, attached to a Celestron C8 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Collimator mirror and camera mirror are also made by the author.
Further components:
Corpus: Birch multiplex plywood, adapters for Cameras and Telescope: aluminium
Grating: Thorlabs 300 grooves/mm, blazed at 500 nm
Grating angle can be adjusted with a micrometer screw, driven by a stepper motor
calibration lamp: Relco SC480
Calibration lamp can be switched in before slit by a stepper motor
Stepper motor control unit: Arduino Uno and Software "Grating Control" (developer: Christoph Pircher)
Guidingcamera: Alccd 5LIIc, adapted to an 35mm Photo-Objektive
Science Camera: see specific spectrum, adapted to an non-rotating helical focuser
FWHM of Emissionlines of Calibration lamp: 3.8 Angström
Dispersion: ca. 0,81 Angström per pixel with ATIK 414ex mono
Spectrum of darkimage (4 captures added, 3 lines binned), normalized to maximum intensity of a spectrum, to illustrate the thermal noise of the ATIK 414ex mono.
